The Long Way Down

It’s time to start The Long Way Down! This is a new, FREE folk and acoustic night centred around songwriting and storytelling.

In Part One, the house band will play a few songs together in a Nashville, campfire, songwriter-circle-type format.

Then in Part Two, the mic will open up to anybody who wants to share either a song they’ve written, or one by somebody else that they just really like. Unlike your usual open mic night, there will be more space to talk about the songwriting process and how the song came into being. The house band may even jam along with you, if you’re okay with that.

Unfinished material welcome. Stories with no songs attached welcome. Rattling two spoons together extremely welcome. The only caveat is that there are literally no microphones. Bring your own instruments or borrow some if you need.
