Ahead of the release of Josephine Decker's brilliant psychological thriller, Shirley (Fri 30 Oct - Thu 5 Nov), we look back at the recurring theme of the Jungian shadow and the shadow artist in her feature films, Butter on the Latch (2013), Thou Wast Mild and Lovely (2014), and Madeline's Madeline (2018).
