EQUINOX: A pilgrimage of folk tales, pagan myths and legends

For all it’s beauty, the countryside can be a queer and sinister place. Folk legends, myths and characters form the backbone of life in the village. To celebrate the BFI’s Britain on Film season, Compass Presents will be unveiling some of the mysteries of ancient rural countrysides in inner city Bristol.

Join us on a promenade experience that will lead you around St Werburghs, discovering hidden histories and forgotten stories told through the medium of archival film. The promenade culminates at a secret outdoor venue where a special screening of The Wicker Man will take place amongst wild surroundings complete with fire pits, pagan rituals and suspicious characters.
