Joining us this week is, Artistic Director and Choreographer Adrienne Hart from dance company Neon Dance. Neon Dance produce exciting, collaborative work for stage and screen.

Adrienne Hart works internationally as a choreographer and as Artistic Director of Neon Dance. Collaboration is at the heart of every Neon Dance production with the company creating work designed for a diverse range of spaces; from intimate theatre venues to large-scale festivals. Neon Dance is currently in house company at Swindon Dance and Adrienne is a selected artist on the Sadler’s Wells Summer University programme (2015 – 2018). Outside of the UK, Adrienne has worked in Russia, Norway, Germany, Kosovo and most recently Japan.

Every Friday we offer free, informal lunchtime talks from people sharing projects, process, ideas and provocations around pervasive media and creative technology. If you or someone you know should be a part of our programme, contact Martin O'Leary.

Artistic Director and choreographer Adrienne Hart will be sharing plans for her new work Puzzle Creature, inspired by the work of artist / architect duo Arakawa and Madeline Gins. She will reveal early stage designs for an accessible and immersive set, designed by award winning design collective Numen. Hart will also explore and take a wider look at dance, architecture and music in the UK/Japan, alongside the pioneering work of Arakawa and Gins. Puzzle Creature is set to premiere at Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial (Japan) in September 2018, so we are very excited to have a sneak preview before it tour the UK from October 2018.

This Lunchtime Talk is part of Open Studio Friday, which takes place at the Studio every week.

Do you want to find out what is going on at the Pervasive Media Studio? Are you interested in meeting our residents, talking about a specific project or curious about pervasive media? Why not pack a sandwich and join us for one of our Lunchtime Talks and Open Studio Friday. Lunchtime Talks are informal presentations by Studio residents and associates. They normally take place at 1pm on Friday, are free and open to everybody who’s interested in what we do. After the Talk, we also invite you to stay with us for the afternoon to continue the conversation or work on your own projects. We provide chairs, tables, wireless and a great space. You bring what you need to work with (laptop/mobile). Our open afternoons close at 5pm. Let us know if you’d like a tour of the space and we'll be happy to show you around just before the talk.
