This talk will be held in the building and online! Booking link can be found here.

The wealth of ideas, real talk, and innovation in young creatives is beautiful and abundant. But the chances to realise the potency of their ideas are incredibly difficult for many young people. If your identity, perspective and experience doesn’t fit neatly into the narrow and deeply colonial mainstream educational system, then where does that leave you? What spaces for learning are accessible to you instead?

How can the Pervasive Media Studio become a more equitable and educational space for young people? Resident Joe Hill and Sumaya Hassan-Murphy have been engaging in some self directed research, looking at these questions. In this talk, they will talk us through the results of workshops and conversations and the questions and ideas that have emerged. This research and design project, led entirely by young people, has been ambitiously imagining what interactions in creative communities, with young people, could look like. In other words, Let’s F*** some S*** up! (in a healthy, joyous and equitable way!).

Join us online on YouTube Live, or in the building on Friday 22nd April 2022 at 1pm for the talk and to take part in the discussion afterwards.
