Danielle is Watershed's Network Producer. 

The Network Producer supports the Pervasive Media Studio to make its R&D community more visible with accessible opportunities to participate; building relationships to new audiences.
 
Danielle supports Studio residents to test their work with both internal and external audiences, through regular events such as Show and Test, and through organising bespoke sharing opportunities.
 
Danielle leads on the production of Unfinished at Undershed, an ongoing series of events and exhibitions in which work in progress by Studio residents is shared with the public in the Undershed gallery space.
 
Danielle is part of the Studio Team, supporting the Head of Studio in the ongoing delivery of Pervasive Media Studio's programmes and operations. As part of the wider Creative Technology department, she contributes to Watershed's research programmes.


Background

Danielle's work over the last 24 years has included festival producing, project management of a national strategic touring project, international tour management for commercial music acts, managing artist development programmes and programming live performance. 

Organisations she has worked for include Southbank Centre, Lighthouse - Poole's Centre for the Arts, Pavilion Dance South West, Wide Awake Devon, Inside Out Dorset Festival, Plymouth City Museum & Art Gallery, Arts University Bournemouth and The Dartington Hall Trust. She also founded the Bournemouth & Poole Creative and Digital professionals network and put on gigs in Devon as an independent live music promoter through her company, Assemble.

Immediately before joining the Watershed team, Danielle worked for Wandsworth Borough Council on arts and events in Nine Elms, one of the largest regeneration projects in Europe. That role included local engagement with schools, community groups and resident associations. She also brokered conversations between developers / landowners and artists / arts orgs, and managed partnerships with orgs including Battersea Arts Centre, Theatre503 and World Heart Beat.

Danielle is passionate about working with others to address how the creative industries can develop to ensure that people from working class / benefits class backgrounds are not excluded by structural barriers and are better enabled to access, participate in and work in the arts.
