Media Sandbox
From 2008 to 2010, Media Sandbox supported 19 companies to make time, take risks and develop inspirational ideas.
In 2008, 2009 and 2010 the Studio ran Media Sandbox, a programme of intensive R&D supporting cohorts of small, agile producers an opportunity to develop early stage ideas.
From the outset, a clear structure was built into the scheme with an emphasis on community. Participants are therefore not isolated entrepreneurs struggling to express ideas – they are part of a network of content producers, clients and commissioners.

The Sandbox model continued to develop through Theatre Sandbox in 2010, and the REACT Sandboxes from 2011 to 2016.
