Plugholes
Plugholes is a (very) site-specific audio installation, where a disembodied voice murmurs aphorisms at you through a plughole.

As a Winter Residency Artist, Geraint is exploring ways to put ideas and stories, big and small, out into the world as layers, along with all the other narratives that we live amongst, without the medium getting in the way. He is interested in building non-linear story spaces: small, distributed…The focus of my Winter Residency at the Pervasive Media Studio is putting ideas and story layers out into the world, in Actual Reality. I'm looking at ways to do this on a larger scale by exploring audio walks, but this audio installation sits at the other end of the scale, as a small moment to be experienced by accident.
The plughole of the sink that you have unsuspectingly discovered is speaking to you: a series of truisms and thoughts that you may or may not agree with.
Thankfully, you can trigger the sensor on the tap and drown out the voice.
