Originally trained as an architect, Jonah now brings his passion for spatial design to the digital world. With a strong focus on humanising our user interfaces, Jonah’s current practice explores how mixed reality can be used in traditional artists’ workflows as a bridge between the physical and virtual worlds.

After graduating with a Part 1 Architecture degree, Jonah embarked on UCL’s new Cinematic and Videogame Architecture master’s programme, developing innovative ways to combine spatial design practices with emerging film and game technology. He has featured in an interview with WIRED Japan as well as been awarded for his work at the Bartlett Autumn Show 2024.

Jonah will be spending six months as a Watershed MyWorld Fellow as part of the MyWorld Ideas programme. Within this Fellowship he will be exploring ways in which people used to working within a stop motion context can best apply their craft to a digital production space. The Fellowship will be aligned to an ongoing research and development project, Virtual Production at Model Scale (VPaMS), being delivered within Aardman and supported by MyWorld.

Jonah is excited to continue pushing the boundaries of spatial computing during his time on the MyWorld Fellowship, seeing how the introduction of materiality, lighting and volume can affect our digital experiences.

He is always interested in collaborating with other passionate individuals to move one step closer to a more deeply connected and human-centred virtual world.
