The 19th RAI FILM Festival will take place Wed 11 - Sun 15 June here at Watershed and Arnolfini, and will mark the 40th anniversary of this unique celebration of anthropology and filmmaking. With premieres, filmmaker Q&As, panel discussions, and a unique mix of cinema and academia, it is an intimate and global gathering.

Set in the rugged landscape of 1790’s Britain, Tornado (played by model-songwriter Kōki) finds herself caught in a perilous situation when she and her father’s travelling puppet show crosses paths with a ruthless criminal gang.

The Wed 18 June 17:40 screening will be introduced by our Film Club hosts who'll be hosting a discussion for 16-19-year-olds after the screening.

French filmmaker Armel Hostiou discovers a fake Facebook profile using his photos, inviting women in Kinshasa to audition for a non-existent film.

The screening will be followed by an exclusive Q&A with the director, offering unique insights into the film’s powerful story.
