Aaron is a freelance photographer, creative practitioner with Sleight of Hand, and co-director of Avalon International Academy. He works on various creative and educational projects in the UK, Europe, and Asia.ON THE STREETS is a National Lottery funded project that tackles stigma surrounding homelessness through immersive storytelling. True stories of people who have experienced homelessness are told through binaural audiobooks: exploring the difficulties of living on the streets, and telling the stories of how they came to be there.
The project is conceived by Aaron Hussain and produced by Ellie Chadwick, and is currently under development in association with St Mungo's charity.
Our "binaural box" - a wooden audio-experience cubicle - will soon be making its way around the city of Bristol, allowing members of the public to step inside and hear stories of people who have had to sleep rough on those very streets told in "360" binaural sound.
