RAI Film Festival 2023
Please note: This event took place in March 2023
The RAI Film Festival returns to Bristol with a showcase of dazzling documentaries that celebrate the very best in documentary filmmaking from around the globe. The programme will showcase productions that interrogate our complex, shared world; fearless films that ask difficult questions, build bridges, seek redress and promote social justice and dialogue.
Highlights include, A Thousand Fires, a tale of family, oil, and life cycles in Myanmar’s hand-drilled oil fields; Marusya Syroechkovskaya's, How to Save a Dead Friend, an unbreakable love story existing in a destructible world and Hung En Su's striking Swirling in the Dreams, a portrait of the floundering relationship between indigenous people in Taiwan and their dwindling belief in Shamanism. And there's so much more.
Take a look at the packed programme here, absorb yourself in the festival experience and open your horizons, as storytellers from every corner of the world shine a light on people, places and stories too often lost in the spotlight of global media.
