Make Shift Meet-Up Sept 2023

Make Shift Meet-Up Sept 2023

Event + Drop-in

Please note: This event took place in Sept 2023

Make Shift Meet-Ups are a space for early career creatives to come together in the Pervasive Media Studio on the first Tuesday evening of each month. This is an opportunity to meet other creatives in the city, learn from established practioners, exchange ideas and think about next steps in your creative career in a welcoming environment.

Each month we have a guest from the Pervasive Media Studio who works professionally in the creative industries who will speak about their work and can give advice. Guest speakers will be experts in their field, from VR film makers to finance professionals.

This month we will be joined by Rufus Sourbutts. Rufus is always looking for totally new (and slightly absurd) ways to do things like building online communities, running record labels or finding unique ways to share his creative work. Join us to hear him talk through some of his approaches and pick up some questions to test the limits of your imagination as you build new projects.

Benefits of Make Shift

You are welcome to arrive from 17:30. The hosted element of the event will start at 17:45 and finish at 19:00. Thereafter, you are invited to continue conversations until 20:00. Don't worry if you can't make it for the beginning of the session or stay for the whole session.
