In this Lunchtime Talk, Gabrielle Shiner-Hill will share insights from her digitisation work at the Fashion Museum Bath via her two Watershed My World Fellowships. Exploring how 3D scanning is transforming the preservation and presentation of archive collections by discussing the challenges and opportunities of digitising fashion, and how these digital assets can create new ways for audiences to engage with fashion while supporting the museum's vision for its 2030 reopening.
About Gabrielle
Gabrielle Shiner-Hill is a Digital Fellow at Bath Spa University, working in partnership with the Fashion Museum Bath on the digitisation of their fashion collection. Her practice-based research explores how creative technology can enhance preservation, accessibility, and innovation in fashion and heritage.
Gabrielle founded shinerhilldesign, a textiles and fashion consultancy, and co-founded Bureau 555, a London–Dhaka agency helping brands transition to 3D sampling workflows. She previously led the BA Fashion Buying and Brand Management course at Ravensbourne University London and now teaches at University of the Arts London and the V&A, where she leads the Digital Fashion Course.
