One of the many thrilling elements of Olivier Laxe’s striking new film Sirât is a parlous trip on unforgiving roads through the Atlas mountains. 

It follows in a tradition of nerve jangling road movies where the journey proves not only a test of character for the participants who are increasingly driven to extreme behaviour, but also a test of nerves for the audience. 

This season of films takes to the road with the original steam punk Mad Max odyssey, the existential journeys of the Hell Drivers, you'll uncover The Wages of Fear, and experience the increasing anxiety of The Vanishing. Buckle up!!
