Kali is working as a barista at an independent coffee shop, hidden among the urban sprawl of New York City. Her ambition is frequently quashed by both her boss and needy boyfriend.
However, things change when a supportive, new-hire and budding photographer Mel enters the picture.
The two find themselves gradually drawn to each other, which puts Kali on a track of self-discovery that reignites her passion.
