Homer’s heroic tale details the arduous, danger-filled journey of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, from the Trojan War back to his homeland, where his wife Penelope awaits his return while fighting off a hoard of suitors. Along the way, the monarch and his dwindling army are faced with many of the Gods’ worst creations and temptations.
Written nearly three thousand years ago, The Odyssey is often described as an epic poem, and with a 180 minute runtime, this mythic action film adaptation certainly looks to be an epic too! Christopher Nolan (Interstellar, Dunkirk, The Dark Knight trilogy) revealed he shot more than 2 million feet of film for his adaptation filmed across the world using brand new IMAX® film technology.
