Watershed Café/Bar

Name the New Watershed Wheat Beer

Posted on Fri 30 Sept 2011

For quite some time now you’ve been asking us for a local wheat beer. Our answer to this request has always been that whilst we take great pride in our locally sourced menus, and stock lots of local favourites as part of our drinks selection, wheat beer from the South West has so far escaped our hot little hands… until now.

For quite some time now you’ve been asking us for a local wheat beer. Our answer to this request has always been that whilst we take great pride in our locally sourced menus, and stock lots of local favourites as part of our drinks selection, wheat beer from the South West has so far escaped our hot little hands… until now.

Thanks to our friends at Arbor Ales, who have created a wheat beer especially for us made right here in Bristol, we can now offer a home brewed version. Next comes your bit: we need you to give it a taste… and help us give it a name.

We’re serving the cloudy, refreshing creation right now – just come to the bar and ask for a free taste or buy a pint. Let us know your ideas for its name and your thoughts (fill out a comments card, email communications@watershed.co.uk or leave a message at the end of this post).

How does it taste? Would you change anything? We’re determined to tweak the recipe to make it the best it can be for you. If your idea for a name is chosen you’ll receive a meal for two and a couple of pints of your brilliantly named beer for your effort.

Our Executive Chef Oliver Pratt said:

“Arbor Ales have been fantastic to work with: they’ve been so enthusiastic, creative and accommodating as we have worked to create a totally bespoke product for our lovely customers.”

Your chance to feedback lasts until this barrel runs out (that’ll keep you going for 64 pints!) so get your thoughts and suggestions in as soon as you can.
