Erinma Ochu

A storyteller and biologist by training (b. London, 1972), Erinma turned to performance poetry in the 1990s followed by screenwriting on short films and artist moving image work as duo, Squirrel Nation. Erinma recently returned to poetry and their poem, ‘How to read the atmosphere’ was shortlisted for the Disabled Poets Prize in 2025. Currently Erinma is pursuing their interest in collective consciousness as Researcher in Residence at Watershed's Pervasive Media Studios, Erinma is Wallscourt Associate Professor in immersive media at UWE Bristol’s Digital Cultures Research Centre and storytelling champion on sustainable computing research initiative, NetDRIVE.
