Ian Christie

Ian Christie is a Film Historian, Writer and Professor of Film and Media History at Birkbeck College, London. He has written and edited books on Powell and Pressburger, Russian cinema, Martin Scorsese, and Terry Gilliam. His most recent books include The Art of Film celebrating the work of Production Designer John Box (Lawrence of Arabia, Oliver! and A Man for All Seasons) and a new edition to the BFI Film Classic series on David Lean’s Doctor Zhivago.
