Meaningful and purposeful design
In this Lunchtime Talk Chloe Meineck, Studio Resident and founder of design studio, Studio Meineck will discuss her current projects, Music Memory Box and Trove, from conception to testing and everything in-inbetween.
Chloe will introduce her key design principles along with examples of good practice especially with regards to tackling complex issues in design and working with people with unmet needs.
She will discuss certain approaches such as co-design, emotionally durable design and how she creates design that actually meet peoples needs.
Chloe will use examples from her experience creating Music Memory Box, an award winning product for people living with dementia and their family. She will also talk about Trove, a product for all children but especially for children in care or children who have been adopted.
Chloe is a designer and social entrepreneur. Her studio's vision and goal is to be a leader and change maker with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
This Lunchtime Talk is part of Open Studio Friday, which takes place at the Studio every week.

They normally take place at 1pm on Friday, are free and open to everybody who’s interested in what we do. You bring what you need to work with (laptop/mobile). Our open afternoons close at 5pm. Let us know if you’d like a tour of the space and we'll be happy to show you around just before the talk.
