Venue Hire Terms & Conditions
Standard terms and conditions for Watershed venue hire
The following terms and conditions apply to all contractual arrangements between Watershed Trading Limited (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Company') and the Hirer.
Arrangement
- Any arrangement for the supply of goods and services must be made directly with the Company and not its agent or contractors.
- AlI bookings must be confirmed in writing and accompanied by a non-returnable deposit. The deposit shall equal 50% of the venue hire or packages.
- The person who signs the booking request shall be considered the Hirer.
- Where a booking is made on behalf of an organisation, that organisation shall be considered the Hirer and shall be liable in respect of the booking with the person who made the booking.
- The Hirer shall be responsible for paying all charges arising out of the booking including any cancellation fee.
- Cancellation fees occurred from the Hirer shall be paid on or before the date of the proposed event on the following scale:

- Cancellation by the Company will incur a refund of any charges paid by the Hirer if a new date cannot be agreed within three months.
Catering
- Outside catering is not permitted unless by prior arrangement with Watershed.
- The Hirer shall estimate the number of persons for whom catering arrangements are to the made at the time of the booking and is required to give a firm figure
10 working days before the event. This number is the minimum on which the final invoice will be calculated.
Finance and Insurance
- The Hirer shall be held responsible for insuring all equipment brought onto the premises and for any damage caused to the Company's property by any equipment or exhibits bought onto the premises.
- The Hirer shall pay all charges within 30 days of the date of invoice (“the settlement period”). In the event that payment is not received within the settlement period defined above, the Company reserves the right to charge interest on the outstanding amount from the date of the invoice. Interest will be charged at a rate of 4% per annum above the base rate of Barclays Bank plc. Should the Hirer fail to pay any invoices within the settlement period the Company shall have the right to cancel any other contractual arrangements with the Hirer without notice.
Other
- The Company's name or logo shall not be used in any publicity without the permission of the Company. The Venue shall always be referred to as Watershed.
- The Company shall not be responsible for any loss of or damage to any property arising out of the holding of a function or any injury which may be incurred by or be done or happen to any person during the holding of a function arising from any cause whatsoever, or for any loss due to any breakdown of machinery, failure or supply of electricity or telephone, leakage of water, fire, riot, Government restriction or act of God which may cause the Company's premises to be temporarily closed or the function interrupted.
- First time Hirers may be required to provide two names and addresses of referees, one of which must be the Hirer's bankers. The Company reserves the right to approach the the Hirer’s named referees before confirmation of the booking is made.
