Live stream

Please note: This event took place in April 2021

Join us for the fourth of our Conversations About Cinema - Thought in Action online panel discussions - where we will be talking about Apiyemiyekî?, a glimmering short from Ana Vaz which makes a salient study of how colonial violence crushed an indigenous community.

The panel (chaired by Dr Suwita Hani Randhawa, Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at UWE Bristol) includes Apiyemiyekî? director Ana Vaz, curator, writer and researcher Sofia Lemos, University of Cambridge PhD student Victoria Adams and UWE Philosophy student Ana Cruz Chavolla.

Watch Apiyemiyekî? at your leisure on MUBI before the discussion. You can get three months of free access to MUBI by visiting mubi.com/watershed. MUBI have also recently introduced a discounted student membership for £5.99 per month for university students worldwide.

Conversations About Cinema - Thought in Action Online is a partnership between the Philosophy and Politics teams at UWE Bristol, Watershed and MUBI.
