Queer Vision Film Festival opens with this very special, one night only screening of George Michael Freedom Uncut, on what would have been his 59th birthday.

Focusing on the formative period in the late Grammy Award winner’s life and career, the film follows thelead up to and dramatic aftermath of the making of his acclaimed album, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1, and the infamous High Court battle with his record label that followed. Candid and raw, the late singer discusseswhy he stepped out of the limelight and turned his back on celebrity, also talking openly about the death of his first love, Anselmo Feleppa.

Featuring incredible, unseen archival and private home footage, George Michael Freedom Uncut gives audiences a first-person account of this dramatic period in his life, revealing how he became one of the most influential recording artists of all time, and how he challenged the standard recording contract and helped to rewrite the rules of the music industry.
