Make Shift

Make Shift

Event

Please note: This event took place in Sept 2022

Make Shift is a space for 18-30 year old creatives to come together in the Pervasive Media Studio at Watershed on the first Tuesday evening of each month. This is an opportunity to meet other creatives in the city, use one of our hot desk spaces, seek advice on your creative project or next steps in your career in a welcoming environment.

Each month we’ll have a guest from the Pervasive Media Studio who works professionally in the creative industries who will speak about their work and can give advice. Guest speakers will be experts in their field, from VR film makers to finance professionals.

As part of September's Make Shift, artist Lucy J Turner will share thoughts about visual storytelling.

Lucy is a Bristol based artist, digital illustrator, activist and creator. She has worked on projects with Rife Magazine, Watershed, Creative Youth Network, Rising Arts Agency, Arnolfini, Black minds Matter UK, 91 Ways, Shelby X Studios and Rockett St George.

Lucy will explore the importance of visual storytelling and how it pervades the world around us. She will share her approach to developing creative work and invite you to participate in a fun / informative visual storytelling activity.
