Trans and Non-Binary Creatives Meet Up

Drop-in

Please note: This event took place in Aug 2022

Join Harriet Taylor every last Sunday of the month for Bristol's Trans and Non-Binary Creatives meet-up, a safe and inclusive environment for attendees to network, discover creative opportunities and share personal experiences.

"The response we’ve had to our Trans & Non-Binary Creatives meet up has been overwhelmingly positive. Our aim has always been to create a welcoming, informative, and accessible space in which people feel they can inspire and be inspired. It makes me immensely proud that it has been received so well from our friends at Watershed, and as a part of Bristol's wider queer and arts communities. We’re really excited for July's meet-up following on from Pride celebrations earlier in the month." - Harriet Taylor

We welcome anyone who identifies as a trans or non-binary creative - from nail technicians to animators, circus performers to writers, creativity takes many forms, and we strongly believe there is an exciting opportunity to learn from each and every member of our growing community.

Speaking at the meet-up gave me a sense of how important and varied the incredible history of trans people is. I felt the space itself allowed us to have an open and clear conversation about a topic I'd never had a chance to speak with other queer people about before. It allowed me to speak without feeling tokenised or that I had to justify anything about my identity – I could simply speak about what I was passionate about. Feeling free, I found friends and wonderful unity amongst the group. I hope that it grows and these events become more regular, for myself and others." — Dawood Qureshi, July’s speaker
