Two men and a bird, trapped in a snowstorm in the middle of nowhere, try to solve a mystery while it slowly devours them in this darkly funny thriller, which received the Special Jury Prize at the Golden Rose Film Festival.

In post-communist Bulgaria, five men find themselves stuck in the woods during a snowstorm. One of them - Petar Motorov has to cross the woods to reach town which is unheard of in the middle of winter with snow covered roads and hungry wolves roaming the darkness. Nevertheless Motorov harnesses his sleigh and heads to town - although nobody sees him actually leave. When the sleigh returns without Motorov, and in his place is the frozen carcass of a wolf the mystery begins. Where is Motorov? There’s only one way to find out….

Inspired by the play by Nobel Prize Nominee Yordan Radichkov, Andrey Paounov's bold fiction debut cements his name as a director who explores with humour, the existential absurdities of the post-socialist state in the language of cinema.
