There's a natural kinship between radio and poetry. They are sister mediums, both concerned with sound, voice, breath, imagery, imagination and the built-in music of language.

In this communal, lights-out, deep listening event, radio producer Mair Bosworth (BBC Radio 4 and In the Dark) curates a selection of audio documentaries, experimental radio features and podcasts from the world's most innovative audio producers. Featuring the poetry of Ilya Kaminsky, Mary Oliver, Rainer Maria Rilke, Caleb Femi, Louis MacNeice and more.

This event is presented by the Lyra Bristol Poetry Festival in partnership with In the Dark, an organisation celebrating the art of storytelling in sound.
