A 48-year-old woman must grapple with her feelings when her solitary existence is disrupted after she falls in love with one of her shop's suppliers.

Etero lives in a small village in Georgia and runs a tiny shop. She's never wanted a husband and cherishes her freedom as much as the mille-feuille cakes she buys next to the bus interchange.

But her choice to live alone is the cause of much gossip among her fellow villagers. Unexpectedly, she finds herself passionately falling for a man, and is suddenly faced with the decision to pursue a relationship or continue a life of independence.

DIASPORA! is a new arts festival for Bristol and the South West, presented by the Diverse Artists Network (DAN). Taking place this year for the very first time Fri 3 – Mon 6 May 2024, this four-day, multi-venue event will platform and celebrate the wide variety of talent reflected in the region’s underrepresented cultural communities.
