11:10 – 12:10 Repping Rep – the long game

Get some fresh inspiration from some of the leading cinemas and pop-up brands active in the world of repertory film programming and marketing with a focus on lesser known/neglected films. Guests including Züleyha Azman (Kino Rotterdam), Mosa Mpetha (Hyde Park Picture House), Paul Vickery (Prince Charles Cinema) will share their approaches to connecting older films with a new wave of cinema goers through bespoke rep curation, partnership work, content creation and brand building.

12:10 – 12:15 Break

12:15 – 13:15 Let’s Get Physical

Ever wondered how film restorations come about and how they end up in a beautifully packaged Blu-ray box set wit ha whole host of curated extras; and how these restorations might make their ways to a big screen near you (or in most cases how they probably won’t)?

Join Jo Griffin (R3store Studios co-founder), Anthony Nield (Head of Production, Powerhouse), George Crosthwait (Film Curator at The Garden Cinema) and James White (Head of Restoration and Technical Services at Arrow Films) to explore how the world of physical media has evolved since studios started licensing out restorations to indie companies and how this might impact on what is and what isn’t available for cinemas and festivals to screen.

Hosted by Cinema Rediscovered Festival Producer Madeleine Probst.

13:15 – 14:15 Networking Lunch

A FREE (vegan/vegetarian) lunch sponsored by StudioCanal and Park Circus.

14:15 – 15:15 Know your rights

You've got the dream idea for a film screening or programme; now you just need to work out who holds the rights... This session, led by the Independent Cinema Office, will give you some avenues to consider when you hit that heartbreaking brick wall with films you know audiences would love. We'll be hosting honest conversations with programmers working in large institutions and community settings, on how they found the rights holders, negotiated and screened rare titles, as well as thinking about shared solutions for this ever-present frustration of the programmers' job. Speakers include curators Abiba Coulibaly (Brixton Cinema Club), Millie Zhou (Garden Cinema) and Lee Bentham (Leeds International Film Festival).

Hosted by Duncan Carson (ICO’s Project and Business Manager)

15:15 – 15:25 Break

A look at some of the forthcoming restorations and re-releases coming up in the months ahead. Join in our Restored & Rediscovered slate presentation hosted by film critic Neil Ramjee to hear more from leading distribution and sales companies about campaign plans, the context of re-issues and connecting with audiences.
