A manhunt thriller based on true events, it stars breakout star Adam Bessa as Hamid, a Syrian exile and former literature professor once incarcerated in Damascus’s notorious Sednaya prison.

Haunted by his past, Hamid works with an underground organisation (spread across Europe and dedicated to finding fugitive war criminals from the Syrian government) while engaging in a relentless quest to find the guard who tortured him.

His mission takes him to France, as he follows a lead at a Strasbourg university, and Hamid must maintain his cover while confronting the weight of his trauma. Meanwhile, weekly phone calls with his mother, now a refugee in Beirut, offer a fragile link to a life that no longer exists.

But what happens when he confronts the man he believes tortured him?
