"Jude’s film-making has such energy and punch. ★★★★☆"
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian

A playful homage to Roberto Rossellini's 1951 film Europe '51, Kontinental '25 is acclaimed Romanian filmmaker Radu Jude’s follow-up to his award-winning film Do Not Expect Too Much From The End Of The World.

Eszter Tompa stars as Orsolya, a bailiff in Cluj, the main city in Transylvania. One day she must evict a homeless man who lives in the basement of a building. But when an unexpected tragedy occurs, Eszter finds herself caught up in a moral quandary.

Shot on an iPhone in just 10 days, Kontinental ’25 is a sharp social satire on our materialistic society, blending dark comedy, drama and giant, plastic dinosaurs, and featuring some of the wittiest, most irreverent and thought-provoking dialogue you’ll hear this year.
