Akinola Davies Jr.'s bold and poetic debut follows a father, estranged from his young sons, over the course of a day in Lagos.
Davies Jr.'s semi-autobiographical tale set over the course of a single day during the 1993 election crisis in Nigeria's largest city. The story follows a father, estranged from his two young sons, as they travel from the quiet countryside through the massive city while political unrest threatens their journey home.
Meeting all sorts of characters familiar and unfamiliar to the boys along the way, Davies Jr. has succinctly captured the childs-eye-view of visiting a massive - and unstable - metropolis for the very first time.

This preview screening is followed by a Q&A with director Akinola Davies Jr.
