Join us very special Make Shift Meet Up - we're going on a field trip!
Not only are we joined by Bristol Born b-boy Kirk Thompson, best know as DJ and Producer, Krust reflecting on his creative process, but we will also be hosting this meet up at The Sheds, part of University of Bristol’s new Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus for a tour of the space.
In this talk he will reflect on his own creative career, his practice, and his approach to R+D and experimentation.

There will also be a chance to see some of the tech and projects coming out of The Sheds, home to:
- The Reality Emulator: A digital twin facility enabling interdisciplinary and cross-sector projects, expected to be fully operational this year.
- The Smart Cinema: The world's first fully instrumented auditorium, allowing for non-invasive audience response measurement.
- The Experimental Studio: A multicamera live studio featuring a 9m LED Virtual Production Stage and a full motion capture rig.
- Condense Reality rig: allowing ‘real-time’ volumetric video performance capture and streaming into online virtual world
- Edit Suites and Production Galleries
About Krust
Krust is regarded as one of Drum & Bass and Jungle's founders and pioneers noted for his unique musical style, and a pioneer of the the Bristol Sound. He has reworked tracks for Bjork, Korn, Moloko, Claude VonStroke, DJ Krush, Adam F, Shy FX, Alex Reece, DJ Ron, DJ Rap and many more. Krust has been a MyWorld artist in residence at the Sheds. He has been experimenting with using some of that tech to build new prototypes.
