An image of Anastasia Dahl, dressed entirely in white, performing a piece of movement in an outdoor earthy green space - she is surrounded by yellow flowering gorse bushes to the top and right of the image. She is stood on one leg, with her left arm and leg pointing outward, and her right arm pointing upward. Her head faces the right of the image.

In this part-performance, part-Lunchtime Talk, Anastasia Dahl will draw on her practice in dance improvisation to explore relationships between the nervous system, creativity and agency. About Anastasia

Anastasia Dahl is a dance artist and sociologist from St. Petersburg, now based in Bristol. She works with the tools of improvisation, contemporary dance and somatic arts, often exploring the richness and beauty within the mundane. She runs movement workshops in gallery spaces and co-runs IsJazz — monthly meet-ups for creatives in the Pervasive Media Studio to explore the creative process playfully and collaboratively. Her current inspirations: bread, anatomy, movement in nature, and the ancient porousness between the sacred and mundane.
