10 Years of Deaf Conversations About Cinema - A Quiet Love + Echoes of The Past

Film

Details
126 mins

A special afternoon celebration of 10 Years of Deaf Conversations About Cinema at Watershed, our monthly film club designed for D/deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing audiences to discuss films in a welcoming environment.

Over those 10 years we’ve watched over 100 films together and had some brilliant conversations. Please join us to watch two more great films followed by Q&As with the filmmakers. Join us in the Café & Bar after the screening to continue the celebration with conversation and, of course, cake!

Echoes of the Past
Directed by Fae Al-Kalamchi; a Flashing Lights Media production for LumoTV. Running time: 28mins

Sandra Bent and her Deaf family search their family history using a Deaf genealogist in the hope of uncovering a further deaf generation.  They discover fascinating new facts about their ancestors and how Deaf people lived in the past.

Followed by a discussion with Sandra Bent, plus a member of the Lumo TV commissioning team, chaired by David Ellington.
