Bound is the story of Violet (Jennifer Tilly), a mob girlfriend who longs to escape her increasingly paranoid boyfriend Caesar (Joe Pantoliano). When ex-con Corky (Gina Gershon) begins renovating the flat next door, Violet and Corky meet, and sparks fly immediately. They embark on a passionate love affair, eventually hatching a plan to steal $2 million from Caesar and escape together whatever the cost.
Choreographed by feminist writer and intimacy consultant Susie Bright, Bound’s long, uninterrupted shots were acclaimed for their authenticity in portraying lesbian sex on-screen. Combined with the Wachowskis’ masterful direction, Bound has cemented its status as a tightly-wound, thrilling, and extremely sexy film, with some of the most iconic lesbian characters in cinema history.
