Ambient Storytelling for Personalised, Everyday, and Data-Driven Experiences
part of Lunchtime Talks
Please note: This event took place in Sept 2016
Lunchtime Talks are a series of informal presentations at Watershed's Pervasive Media Studio. They normally take place at 13:00 on a Friday, are free and are open to everybody who is interested in what they do. Come along, bring a sandwich, and get to know more about the Studio community, current and up-coming projects, or residents' work.
Jen Stein has just joined Watershed and UWE Bristol from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts and the Mobile and Environmental Media Lab. Her practice-based research focuses on Ambient Storytelling and Interactive Experience Design, in which lifelogging, big data, and emerging technologies present new opportunities of location-based and context-specific storytelling. For this Lunchtime Talk, Jen will present some projects she has developed over the past few years that demonstrate the concept of Ambient Storytelling.
The Pervasive Media Studio is located within the Watershed building. Let us know if you'd like a tour and we'll be happy to show you around. Send an email to studio@watershed.co.uk
