Something special is happening in Bristol’s financial system. The Bristol Pound has been in place for 5 years, Bristol and Bath Regional Capital has funded sports fields, a counselling centre and houses renovated by ex-offenders, and Bristol Credit Union has more than 10,000 members. Now there’s a plan to launch a local bank for the region. What are the benefits of this locally-focused financial ecology and what makes Bristol a centre for it all? Can we look forward to a future where we all come together to invest in the region in which we live? Join James Berry, Dave Hunter, Jules Peck, Ed Rowberry and Sue Turner for a discussion on the power of local money in creating a truly circular economy.

Chaired by Simon Cooper.
