Matthew Sheret - Living in a Networked, Monitored Space

part of 5G Fellowship Talks

Talk

Please note: This event took place in March 2018

What are some of the scenarios made possible by 5G technologies? More Internet of Things applications in smart homes and cities? In this talk Matthew Sheret will discuss how we can we build on our understanding of peoples' needs in monitored public spaces, and how can we picture new approaches to accountability and transparency. Can we enable people to live with these technologies and make meaningful choices about how we live in networked spaces.

Matthew Sheret works with colleagues at Projects By IF. He has helped digital teams describe complex products and services since 2009. He's worked with data scientists to explain algorithms, written speeches for politicians, and defined how the Government Digital Service explained digital transformation. At IF he helps to explain how to make digital services more accountable, more trustworthy and more empowering.
