Join us for the UK's first live, interactive feature film and embark on a moving journey that will ask us to make our own decisions about the morality of war.

Presented by Blast Theory and shot in one continuous take, Bloodyminded will stream live at Watershed and select cinemas across the UK for one night only.

Mixing fiction with documentary, and the First World War with the present day, this groundbreaking project has been inspired by research into WW1 conscientious objectors and interviews with British Army veterans who shared their experiences of training, frontline combat, banter, bullying, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Bloodyminded invites you to interact via an app, responding to questions directed by a narrator who asks us to consider our own relationship with violence – as individuals and as members of a society that continues to wage war on our behalf.

To take part in Bloodyminded you will need a fully charged smartphone or a tablet with an internet connection (you can connect to the free wi-fi at Watershed). We will give you the URL for a Web App to use during the experience before the film starts. The Web App will use text and images only, there will be no streaming audio or video.

Bloodyminded is a new work by Blast Theory co-commissioned by 14-18 NOW: WW1 Centenary Art Commission and by Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts. Bloodyminded has been created with the support of the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union, The Space and Polden-Puckham. Blast Theory is delighted to have Pathfinder International as Media Partner.
