Charlotte Crofts i is based at the Digital Cultures Research Centre, and is Senior Lecturer in Film Studies and Video Production at UWE. Calvium have worked successfully on many ground-breaking research and commercial projects with research and arts organisations like the RSC, PunchDrunk and several universities. The most significant R&D project to date was funded by the TSB to develop a platform to unlock the mobile app market for creative industries. Prior to Calvium the founders had over twenty years corporate research experience within HP Laboratories.

Peter Insole manages the Historic Environment Record for Bristol and created the website Know Your Place, that provides access to layers of historic maps and images. He has previous experience of creating historic interpretation material through the use of technologies like Mscape to provide access to a variety of media including oral histories and has experience of developing heritage trails for school children.
