At the first screening in a Watershed retrospective of the films of Claire Denis Dr Jaqueline Maingard, Senior Lecturer in Film and Media Studies at University of Bristol, gives an introduction to Claire Denis as a filmmaker and her approach to filmmaking. She then discusses Claire Denis' début film Chocolat and its links with her most recent film White Material.
