New and Emerging Talent residencies 2015
Robotics prosthetics startup Open Bionics, game designer and producer Roz Dean and composer and designer Thomas Williams joined us for the 2015 New and Emerging Talent residency programme.

Thomas is interested in creating new ways for audiences to experience, and interact with sound, music and stories in physical spaces.
Vitória Maurício
Vitória was the lead designer for Open Bionics - whilst in residence, she spent her time designing creative and customisable 3D printable robotic prosthetics.
Roz Dean
Roz is passionate about creating interaction, giving permission to be playful and merging reality and fantasy through events and happenings that often co-exist in numerous digital and physical spaces.
Samantha Payne
Samantha is the co founder of Open Bionics, an award-winning startup 3D printing robotic hands for amputees that look and feel good. Open Bionics has won multiple awards for engineering and innovation, including the James Dyson award. Sammy is interested in startups, robotics, wearables, smart…From July to September 2015, Vitória Maurício and latterly Sammy Payne* from robotics prosthetics startup Open Bionics, game designer and producer Roz Dean and composer and designer Thomas Williams joined us for the Pervasive Media Studio’s 2015 New and Emerging Talent residency programme. The programme enables those at an early stage in their professional development time and space to think, share and explore ideas with structured support, as well as to receive desk space at the Pervasive Media Studio, a bursary and a dedicated mentor drawn from the Studio's wider community.
*during the residency process Vitória finished working with Open Bionics and Sammy completed the residency with us over the Autumn.
