Bretten Hannam's powerful and often heartbreaking coming-of-age tale about discovering one’s culture, one’s family and one’s place in the world.

In a rural east-coast Canadian trailer park, Two-Spirit Mi’kmaw teenager Link (Philip Lewitski) is just discovering his sexuality when his already volatile home life goes off the rails. When Link discovers that his supposedly dead mother may be alive, he flees from his toxic father with younger half-brother Travis (Avery Winters-Anthony) in tow.

Sparks fly in a chance encounter with teen drifter Pasmay (Joshua Odjick), who shares Link’s indigenous roots and offers to help find his mother. As the trio journey across Mi’kma’ki, Link finds community, identity and love in the land where he belongs. Part road movie, part family mystery, this is a sensitive portrayal of Two-Spirit Mi’kmaw teenagers who rely on ancient traditions to stay alive.
