Imagining Possibilities: Talks

Talk + Live Streamed Event

Please note: This event took place in July 2022

Part of The Future is Collective, Imagining Possibilities is a programme of talks and workshops about sustainable creative practices and climate storytelling aimed at creatives working in screen based media including video games, film and immersive experiences.

We'll be having the following guest speakers talking on a range of subjects:

  • Beginning your climate action journey by Zoe Rasbash
  • Sourcing Greenly by Tay Aziz
  • Sustainability Managers are the Future by Ludovica Chiarni
  • Storytelling for Climate Justice by Mimi Thebo
  • Transformative Storytelling by Jessica Edwards
  • Climate Spring by Josh Cockcroft

This event aims to create an accessible space to discuss how individual creatives can embed environmental responsibility and climate justice, both in policy and practice. Speakers will discuss the vital territory of climate storytelling and how this will be a key in how we work towards a greener and fairer future for all.

If you’re interested in greening your practice, or delving into how we can tell unconventional or challenging stories about the climate crisis, join us for a morning of knowledge sharing from experts and practitioners in the field.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the event. Attendees will be muted and have cameras off. Ticket bookers will receive a YouTube link by email in advance of the event.

Although this session is free of charge, If you have any financial barriers in attending, we are offering a limited number of first come-first served bursaries of £30 to attend. Please contact liz.c@watershed.co.uk to arrange a bursary in advance of the event.

This event is part of Watershed's The Future is Collective programme, supported by Arts Council England. It is also partially funded by Bristol + Bath Creative R+D.
