A former detective with a fear of heights is hired to follow a woman possessed by the past.

Gavin Elster asks his friend Scottie (James Stewart) to follow his wife Madeline (Kim Novak). As Scottie uncovers more about Madeline, he begins to fall in love with her.

He becomes more and more obsessed until, one day, she leaps from a bell tower. But, in true Hitchcock style, all is not as it seems…

Right from its famous title sequence it’s clear that Vertigo is a special film. And every screening of it never disappoints.
