Found Sound Family Workshop
Fri 30 May 09:45
Pervasive Media Studio, Watershed
Our family workshops are made possible with our partners in the Pervasive Media Studio, which are the University of Bristol and UWE Bristol. What does a backwards clap sound like? This May half term, we're excited to invite young people aged 8-14 and their grown-ups to join us for a workshop exploring the sounds we find around us, no music experience is required.
The workshop will be hosted by musican and composer Greg Ryan. Greg will introduce the Pyka_loop, an interactive sound environment that enables you to create remarkable music from the sounds of the world around you. Experiment with melodies, beats and soundscapes in this collaborative, accessible and noisy workshop.
Please turn up at the start of the workshop at 09:45. The workshop is two hours long and has regular opportunities for breaks.
