In this Lunchtime Talk we'll hear from Sacha Wares who'll share her evolving understanding of the language of movement in virtual reality.

She will share her evolving understanding of the language of movement in virtual reality. Drawing on her new piece Inside: The Childhood of an Artist, Sacha reflects on the highs and lows of wrestling with motion as a dramatic composition tool in VR. From rehearsing actors for volumetric and motion capture to exploring when, where and why audiences turn their heads.

About Sacha

Sacha Wares is an award-winning XR director with a background in directing for theatre. Her theatre credits include Sucker Punch starring Daniel Kaluuya (Royal Court) and Jung Chang’s Wild Swans (Young Vic, London, A.R.T. Boston). Sacha is founder of Trial & Error Studio, whose XR work includes Museum of Austerity, Adult Children and Inside: The Childhood of an Artist.
