Moving Worlds

part of Lunchtime Talks

Talk

Please note: This event ended on 3 October 2025

In this Lunchtime Talk we'll hear from Sacha Wares who'll share her evolving understanding of the language of movement in virtual reality.

Drawing on her new piece Inside: The Childhood of an Artist, Sacha reflects on the highs and lows of wrestling with motion as a narrative tool. From rehearsing actors for volumetric and motion capture to exploring why audiences turn their heads, Sacha offers fresh insights into the stagecraft of movement in virtual reality.

Inside: The Childhood of an Artist is screening at Bristol Old Vic from Wed 1- Wed 8 Oct, 12:00 daily.
