Action Hero are constructing 2,000 paper buildings in our Café & Bar for a special event at M Shed on Sat 21-Sun 22 Feb 2026 - and they need your help. Working with architects Architecture 00, who have designed detailed paper models inspired by Bristol’s houses, shops, tower blocks and offices, they’re inviting you to help create a miniature version of the city, one tiny paper building at a time.
Join them to sit, make, and watch as the replica of Bristol slowly takes shape. Try your hand at papercraft, learn more about the project, and be part of a shared act of building and care.
From Ashes is an interactive event and a tender, collaborative act of repair and recovery.
About Action Hero
Action Hero is the collaboration between artists and studio residents Gemma Paintin and James Stenhouse. Together they create artworks that expand across multiple creative practices: performance, installation, sound, digital practice and work for public space.
